Heather Jones
Heather Jones believes everyone deserves to feel at ease in their bodies and minds. She also believes that everyone can benefit from having that experience right now, without having to change anything about themselves.
Heather teaches her classes through suggestions of how to move, things to pay attention to, and continuous prompts to encourage the mind to notice breath and sensations in the body. Her classes often link series of shapes or postures together through slow and mindful transitions that give plenty of opportunity for students to make choices that invite exploration of their own unique experience.
Heather has been teaching yoga since 2010. She is registered E-RYT 500, YACEP through Yoga Alliance and has taken several specialty teacher trainings including kid’s yoga, Kalari Movement (a martial arts based movement practice) and Love Your Brain Yoga.
She loves to study yogic philosophy, Ayurveda, meditation, and movement and has co-created and co-taught several yoga teacher trainings. She enjoys speaking to people about their interests, experiences, and perspectives and learns a great deal from listening to and observing the students in her classes.
Heather is very respectful of the innate intelligence of the body and works to create an environment that allows students opportunities to witness their own intelligence.
