“Be like a tree.
Stay grounded.
Connect with your roots.
Turn over a new leaf.
Bend before you break.
Enjoy your unique natural beauty.
Keep growing.”

– Joanne Raptis

My career path has been quite diverse and has taken me around the country. My passion for working with others began early on but blossomed while working as a guide in Jackson, WY. Through guiding, I watched individuals overcome personal fears, physical setbacks, and struggles of all types.

I wanted to expand my ability to help others, so I decided to advance my
understanding of individuals and their environment and began working toward a Master of Social Work degree at the University of Utah.

My therapeutic philosophy is to help individuals foster personal strengths, identify problematic areas in their life, and learn skills to overcome barriers to growth. By focusing on self-determination and cultivating a positive therapeutic alliance, I aim to assist individuals with emotional, intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual development.

I have many interests and hobbies. Most notably: hiking, backpacking, kayaking, canyoneering, yoga, and playing music. My true passion is traveling all over this beautiful planet.
