Meg Thomas, LCSW
Meg Thomas is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with children and adolescents. They especially enjoy working with neurodivergent youth and their families.
Meg graduated with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2015. They have spent much of their career working in schools, both in special education and general education settings. Meg also has experience working in residential treatment centers, outpatient clinics, non-profits, and a psychiatric hospital, and has volunteered around the world.
Meg uses an eclectic approach to meet the individual needs of each of their clients. Meg is skilled in incorporating techniques from play therapy, art therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, exposure therapy, and other modalities and tools.
Meg’s therapeutic style is a strengths-based, trauma-informed, person-centered approach that is neurodiversity-affirming and LGBTQ+ affirming. They are guided by a philosophy of unconditional acceptance in work and in life. Validation, safety, trust, and authenticity take priority in Meg’s sessions.
In their free time, Meg enjoys art, writing, yoga, mindfulness, playing video games, being in nature, traveling, and spending time with family.
