With a diverse background working with youth and adults in the outdoors, Sarah’s experience spans rock climbing, backpacking, ski instructing, team building, and wilderness therapy. As a clinician, Sarah believes in the inherent power of individuals to guide their own treatment. She recognizes that each person brings a unique set of experiences that shape their worldview, presenting both challenges and strengths. Sarah is committed to building on these strengths and helping individuals discover new ways to navigate their struggles and embrace new challenges.
During Sarah’s work in wilderness therapy, she addressed complex family dynamics. She has served as a school social worker, supporting students from second grade through high school. Sarah has also experience working with refugees of all ages working at a resettlement agency. She utilizes various therapeutic approaches, including acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, play therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible. She loves gardening, hiking, biking, and skiing, and cherishes moments with her husband and two dogs, Augie and Noelle.
