YogaFlix is a monthly film series that showcases intriguing documentaries exploring what it means to be human. Each month features a different documentary (not all films are about “yoga”) and supports a local nonprofit doing important work that contributes to making our community a safe, healthy, and exciting place to live.
February’s screening features The Connection in support of the Rape Recovery Center.
The mission of the Rape Recovery Center is to empower those victimized by sexual violence through advocacy, crisis intervention, and therapy, and to educate the community about the cause, impact, and prevention of sexual violence. The Rape Recovery Center has been serving Utah communities since 1974.
The Connection is a feature documentary about how the latest scientific research is proving that there is a direct connection between your mind and body when it comes to your health. Includes commentary from leading experts in mind-body medicine (David Spiegel, John Kabat-Zinn, etc.) and highlights remarkable true stories of recovery.
Advance registration is set at the suggested donation rate of $10. Should you wish to make a contribution in an amount other than the $10 recommendation to our partner nonprofit, we will be accepting donations via cash and credit card at the event. Advance registration is not required.
